Welcome to HappyFeet Boston, where the joy of soccer meets the magic of childhood imagination! At HappyFeet, we believe that introducing children to the world’s most popular game should be as fun and engaging as possible.
That’s why we’ve designed a unique mobile soccer clinic tailored specifically for children aged 2-6.
Our non-competitive, story-driven approach called “Story Time with a Soccer Ball” transforms every session into a playful adventure, ensuring that children develop a love for soccer and healthy exercise habits that will last a lifetime.
Our Philosophy
At HappyFeet Boston, we’re more than just a soccer clinic. We’re a place where children’s creativity and physical activity intersect. Our philosophy is built on the understanding that young children learn best through play.
By combining familiar songs, stories, nursery rhymes, and fun games, we make each soccer session an opportunity for children to explore, imagine, and grow. Our curriculum is designed to ignite their imaginations, taking them on exciting journeys with their soccer ball, affectionately named Bob the Bobcat.
Whether Bob is exploring the zoo, going to the movies, or visiting an enchanted castle, each adventure is filled with opportunities for children to develop key soccer skills like dribbling and ball striking—all while having an absolute blast.
Our History
The HappyFeet journey began in 1988 in Kansas City when La Petite preschools organized field trips to Andy Barney’s indoor soccer facility.
What started as a simple idea—teaching soccer to preschoolers—quickly revealed the need for a curriculum that was educational, engaging, and sensitive to the developmental needs of young children.
From this realization, stories like “Hiawatha, the Dribbling Indian” and “Gus, the Banana Gobbling Gorilla” were born, along with catchy songs that made learning soccer as easy as singing along to “Roll, roll, roll the ball.”
Fast forward to 2006, when Scott Gaither, inspired by watching his daughter’s dance class, recognized the potential for a soccer program that was not only developmental but also more enjoyable for young children.
Teaming up with Andy, they formed HappyFeet, bringing their innovative program to preschools, daycares, and recreation centers.
Since then, HappyFeet has expanded both nationally and internationally, offering year-round classes, camps, and leagues that continue to capture the hearts and imaginations of children everywhere.
