The Dallas Cowboys' aspirations of competing for a Super Bowl were dashed on Sunday after a disheartening wild-card round loss to the Green Bay Packers.
Dak Prescott labored throughout the 48-32 loss, despite passing for 400 yards and three touchdowns. He was especially bad in the first half, when he threw two interceptions, one of which was a pick six, with the Cowboys trailing 20 points.
When speaking with reporters after the game, Prescott was critical of his performance, offering a frank three-word assessment of his play.
Dallas had high expectations going into the postseason after winning the NFC East and earning the conference's No. 2 seed.
Despite a good regular season, they were eliminated in the playoffs for the 13th time in a row, failing to win the conference championship.
Prescott accepted responsibility for the team's poor performance and said he was "shocked" by the loss.
The Cowboys were huge favorites into the game at AT&T Stadium, where they hadn't lost all season. In fact, their last home loss was on September 11, 2022.
Despite having home-field advantage in the wild-card round, Dallas struggled in front of its supporters, resulting in yet another sad playoff elimination.
