McDonald's Double Big Mac Is Returning, But Not For Long

In the first two weeks of 2024, McDonald's has announced a plan for many changes. The chain will improve its burgers and buns, so expect new or returning options.

We don't know when or if the McRib will return after its brief pre-Thanksgiving visit last year, but Double Big Mac fans have good news.

January 24 marks the Double Big Mac's return. Doubled patties in a quadruple cheeseburger. McDonald's to increase special sauce.

We don't know how much lettuce and pickles this Big Mac upgrade has, but it appears to have one slice of cheese.

A bottom, top (with sesame seeds), and center bun with two patties on per side remain. Mickey D's offers more than the Double Big Mac.

McDonald's Grand Mac, debuted in 2016, has two patties but additional beef and cheese. Also on the menu was the Mac Jr., with one original-sized patty.

McDonald's may not resuscitate these options, but you can get a larger Big Mac with Quarter Pounder patties, identical to the former but without cheese.

You can make a Double Big Mac after it disappears again by ordering two Big Macs. This leaves you with three bun halves, but you may feed pigeons or make croutons with the leftover bread.

Your Frankenburger will contain the same amount of meat as the capital D-Double, plus more sauce, lettuce, pickles, and cheese for double the price.
